In the context of Sibiu – The European Cultural Capital – one of the most important cultural projects, achieved in partnership with the Brukenthal National Museum, there was the official opening day of the permanent exhibition “Human communities evolution in the South of Transylvania” (The Museum of History – The Altemberger House) on October 26, 2007 and the overview of the layout works for the Museum of Hunting Weapons and Trophies “August von Spiess” and of the Museum of Natural Sciences in Sibiu and the exhibitions inside the Brukenthal Palace.

The opening day marked the inauguration of the exhibitions with the occasion of achieving the most modern concept of museum planning and design in Romania.

The event got an oversized dimension, both through its re-launching, and through the 300 guests attending it: museum directors, museum experts, Romanian Government representatives, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Religions, of the District Council of Sibiu, of the City Council of Sibiu and of the Brukenthal National Museum.
